Over 20 teachers and 30 migrant students joined us in Italy for testing of the ‘Language and culture escape box’. The tool is being developed within Erasmus+ strategic partnerships project aiming at better integraion of immigrants in local communities. It will be used for teaching Dutch, Italian, Norwegian and Polish as a second language and promoting local cultures, religions and traditions. The testing was part of the programme of the Transnational Partners Meeting hosted by CPIA2 Bari-Altamura in its schools in Altamura, Gravina and Alberobello.

Integration by DT | Project meeting
The mid-project meeting was organized at Eduplius in Siauliai, Lithuania on 23 and 24 May 2019 to review progress and plan the project activities for the rest of the year. The project moves to its next, exciting, phase which is developing the handbook titled „What Design thinking can do for the integration of migrants and refugees”. A template for the book has been tested during a local Design Thinking workshop. The program also included a visit to the DT laboratory, where a mini-workshop with the use of LEGO Serious Play® was held.
The project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.

Graceland hosts kick-off meeting of the Inclusive Communities project
The „Inclusive communities through interactive language innovation” project was officially launched during the kick-off meeting in Katowice, Poland on the 22nd and 23rd of November 2018. Partners from the Netherlands, Norway and Poland came together to discuss project management procedures and development of intellectual outputs. Gaceland’s new project titled „Support to international graduates working at jobs below their qualifications or in the informal economy”, submitted to the Social Innovations Programme in the framework of Akcja inkubacja project carried out by ECORYS Polska Sp. z o.o. and SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities, is qualified for the second round of the competition.
